Collagen is present in all our organs. It is the most important structural protein of our connective tissue, the glue that holds all of our connective tissues together. You find it in skin, hair, nails, tendons, bones, cartilage and all the gelatinous parts of our body. It provides these tissues a well-balanced combination of stiffening and elasticity. It contributes to keeping our body both strong and supple.
As we age collagen begins to deplete from our bodies at approximately 1.5% a year. This starts to happen from the age of just twenty-five
